Why Is This Charity Auction Happening?

As a fundraising initiative for Isha Outreach's relief efforts for those affected by the Coronavirus outbreak in India, Sadhguru has donated his painting (measuring 5 x 5 ft) titled “To Live Totally!”to the trust, in gratitude to whomever donates the highest amount towards the cause. Read more about Isha’s Corona Relief work here.
"Our efforts to provide nourishment to daily wagers in rural India who have no other means, is expanding into thousands of people every day. In this effort to generate funds for feeding the underprivileged, this painting is an offering. Whatever you donate for this will go to #BeatTheVirus fund." - Sadhguru

How to Bid?

The minimum bid value is INR 1,000,000. Bids may be placed only in Indian Rupees (INR). Your bid should be above the Current Bid (the highest bid) by at least INR 100,000. Click “Submit” to make your bid.
As a first-time bidder, you will also need to make a one-time donation of INR 1,000 to be eligible for bidding. This is a non-refundable donation towards Corona Relief.
You can track the charity auction process live on the website, where real-time bid updates will be posted. If you wish, you can also update your bid any number of times.
The donation of INR 1,000 mentioned above will not be applicable for updated bids.
To update your bid, you can incrementally increase the Current Bid by multiples of INR 100,000 (incremental factor). Click “Raise bid by” to increase your bid for the incremental factor.
You may be contacted during the charity auction for bid verification in order to protect all bidders and maintain the integrity and the efficacy of the process.
At the end of the charity auction, the winning bidder will be contacted by the Isha Outreach team. The successful bid amount will need to be offered by the winning bidder as a donation towards Corona Relief.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can I bid lower than the Current Bid (highest bid at any given point)? To keep the bidding process simple, bidders can bid only in increments to the Current Bid (existing highest bid amount). For example, if the existing highest bid at this point is INR 1,500,000, you can enter a new bid more than INR 1,500,000 only in increments of INR 100,000.
2) Can a bid be cancelled? Once the charity auction has started, bids may not be cancelled by a bidder. Isha Outreach reserves the right to cancel a bid at its discretion anytime during the bidding process, if it considers it necessary to do so, without assigning any reason. (For example, in order to protect all bidders and maintain the integrity of the process.)
3) How will I make the donation once my bid has won? If you are the winning bidder, you will receive a confirmation email after the close of the charity auction and will be contacted by Isha Outreach for an acceptable mode of donation transfer for the winning bid. The donation is required to be completed within 5 working days from the receipt of the confirmation email.
4) Is the donation tax deductible? Donations to Isha Outreach are tax deductible under Section 80G for Indian tax payers.
